On Holy Saturday, 22 April 2022, we celebrated the Vesperal Divine Liturgy of St. Basil, commemorating our Lord’s Victory over death and the harrowing of hell.
It also was a very special day for three people: Ken Nakamura, Mercy Taylor and Louise Saad. Before the Divine Liturgy, they received into the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Ken and Mercy were baptized with the names Anthony and Matrona. Louise was received through the Sacrament of Chrismation with the name Nektaria. The newly illumined servants of God took part in the Great Entrance procession and received their first Holy Communion at the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil.
May God grant Ken-Anthony, Mercy-Matrona and Louise-Nektaria many happy and peaceful years!
