Christ is Risen, dear brothers and sisters!

On Thomas Sunday, His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan celebrated the Divine Liturgy at our Cathedral. With his blessing, the celebration of our patronal feast of St George (23rd April) was also transferred to this Sunday.
At the end of the service, Sayedna congratulated the faithful on our patronal feast and wished many years to the parishioners who bear the names of St George and St Thomas, celebrating their name days.
Following the Divine Liturgy, we held our festal parish lunch at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in Kensington, organised by the ladies of the St George’s Activities Group. It was a wonderful celebration, with delicious home-made food and sweets. At the end of the lunch, after singing the Apolytikion of St George, the Georges and Georgettes of our parish cut the specially made cake to commemorate the feast.
