Concelebration before the Hawaiian-Iveron Icon at the ROCOR Cathedral

On November 19th, the clergy of our Cathedral and St. Botolph’s Parish concelebrated the Supplication Service for the wonderworking, myrrh-streaming Hawaiian-Iveron Icon of the Mother of God at the ROCOR Diocesan Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God and the Royal Martyrs.

Our clergy participated at the invitation of His Grace, Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe. Since our Metropolitan, His Eminence Silouan, could not attend, he blessed Fr. Michel Touma, Fr. Boniface Carroll, Fr. Dcn Dmitry Ismagilov, and Fr. Dcn George Moldoveanu to attend on his behalf.

The service was concelebrated by clergy from various Orthodox jurisdictions in the UK, and the church was filled with the faithful from London and beyond, including many of our parishioners, who sang praises to the Mother of God. After the service, the faithful had the opportunity to venerate the holy Icon.

Following the service, Bishop Irenei invited the clergy to dinner at the parish house. Later, the clergy returned to the church to venerate the Icon alongside the remaining faithful and bid it farewell.

We thank God for the gift of this holy icon and express our sincere gratitude to Bishop Irenei and all those at the ROCOR Cathedral for this opportunity to pray together.
