On Sunday, 5 July, His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan presided at the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at St George’s Cathedral.
During the Little Entrance, in a special service, Metropolitan Silouan appointed Fr George Moldoveanu as a priest-confessor, bestowing upon him the blessing and responsibility to hear the Sacrament of Confession.
As a visible sign of this ministry, Fr George was given to wear the epigonation, a diamond-shaped liturgical vestment worn on the right hip, by priests who have received the blessing of the bishop to hear confessions.
We warmly congratulate our beloved Fr George on this special day. Joining in the words of Metropolitan Silouan, we pray that God will grant him strength, wisdom, and joy as he carries this new cross of pastoral ministry, for the salvation and spiritual benefit of the faithful.
