Feast of St. Silouan and Metropolitan’s Name Day

On Sunday 25th o September, His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan celebrated the divine liturgy at our cathedral parish of St. George. With his blessing in this service, we commemorated protomartyr Thekla equal-to-apostles and saint Silouan the Athonite, whose feast was a day before. In the homily, His Eminence drew on the examples from the life of his patron saint – Silouan the Athonite – to talk about the steps towards salvation which everyone of us can take.

At the end of the service, Sayedna blessed koliva offered in commemoration of Saints Thekla and Silouan and received congratulations from the faithful on his name day. Many years, Master!
