On Sunday, January 1st, 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan and the clergy of our parish celebrated Divine Liturgy for the Feast of Circumcision of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and St. Basil the Great. As the 1st of January marks the beginning of the new civil year, at the end of the service, Sayidna Silouan said a short service of Supplication on the First Day of the New Year. In the prayer, we thanked our Lord for all the things he “poured out upon us” in the year 2022, and asked him to “bestow health, salvation and good furtherance in all things”, as well as “peace and tranquillity” in the new year.
