On Sunday, 8th January, His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan Oner and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Antiochian Orthodox Society of Britain, Dr Samir Hraiki, headed a delegation to meet His Beatitude Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, Maronite Patriarch of Antioch, during his visit to London. The delegation consisted of Father Samir Gholam, Father Michel Touma, and some Trustees of the Society.
It was a very cordial visit. Patriarch Al-Rahi and Father Fadi Kmeid warmly received the delegation. Patriarch Al-Rahi listened with interest to an update by the Chairman on the situation of our Cathedral in London. He also discussed with Metropolitan Silouan and the delegates how to improve the situation of the Christians of the East at home and in the diaspora.
The visit ended with exchange of the gifts between the Patriarch and the delegates, thanking him for his time and warm welcome.
